Get ready to launch

Woohoo! We’re on to day two of your new business. Now that you’ve setup all your tools, let’s get ready to launch.

Today’s post is all about launching your new business by sharing your Avon and/or Justine brochure links with your contacts.

But first! Let’s talk about how to do this in the best way possible to build a growing list of customers who will support you consistently.

In the past you may have been told about the making your list of 100 people to contact, which in itself is not a problem. It’s that you’re being told to spam your entire list with the same message that’s not going to serve you well.

The thing is, being spammy or salesy is not a great way to start your business.  Mass spamming your contacts will make it seem like your only motive for reaching out is to make money off them.

Get ready to launch. How to share your Avon brochure. How to share your Justine brochure.

THE ADVENTURES OF SPAMMY TAMMY

Spammy Tammy is the name given to THAT direct seller who spams everyone.

Spammy Tammy likes to “post and pray”.

Spammy Tammy sends her old high school friends a friend request and immediately sends a “hey girl, I know its been a while but…” message.

Spammy Tammy posts screenshots from her e-brochure on social media, hoping that the algorithm will let her friends see her post.

Spammy Tammy takes pictures of her brochure on the desk with her phone and posts it as her profile picture.

Gross. Don’t be like Spammy Tammy.

HOW TO SHARE YOUR AVON/JUSTINE BROCHURE

Instead of using the “throwing spaghetti at the wall and hope it sticks” approach, think of how your product can solve your customers’ problem.

Lead with their pain point.

Has your pregnant friend mentioned how she’s worried about getting stretch marks? Ask her if she’s ever tried the Legendary Justine Tissue Oil.

Do you have a friend who’s favourite beauty counter matte lipstick has just become too expensive? Ask her if she’s open to trying the Avon Ultra Matte Lipstick.

So instead of just sending your brochure link to everyone and hoping for a response, try something like this instead:

“Hey {name}, I think you are going to love the {product name} special offer in this month’s brochure, it’s just what we were talking about the other day. Are you open to taking a look?”

Instead of using your personal Facebook wall as a billboard for your products or brochure (which could get you into Facebook jail btw), consider posting a question like “what are your biggest beauty concerns”. And then use the comments on your post to guide you to ask if she has tried {XYZ} product before.

You’ll need to tweak it to sound like your authentic self. But you get what I’m saying, right?

YOUR VIBE ATTRACTS YOUR TRIBE

You are so much more than just your products.  Being your authentic self, solving a problem, and building relationships first is what will help you grow a band of loyal customers who bring repeat business, instead of just once-off customers who could get the same thing from someone else.

And if they don’t become a customer, they could still connect you to someone who will, so lead with the value first, always.

WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS POST?

I’d love to know what your take is on this topic.  If you’ve tried it and had success, or not, I’d love to know either way.

Leave your comment below and let’s get chatting.

To your success!

xoxo,

René
